Prototype and Unity Assets
So i have started work on a construct prototype that i will develop ready for my presentation in august. At the moment it is very rough and the assets and environment are just colours to let me know the speed in which the characters move and the parallax of the environment in a quick and dirty way.
Rough environmental art will be implemented but i will keep the characters as rectangles at the moment. Right now, the only mechanics are movement and a pushing mechanic (the first image shows the red rectangle in a pushing animation). When either character hits the out of bounds behind them, they get destroyed and in the actual game, when the player goes out of bounds, an animation will trigger where that character passes out due to drinking too much. In the prototype, i will also add in a belly push which is rechargeable, this is a stronger type of push. I have not yet thought of other moves to implement.
Aswell as the development of this prototype, there was a humble bundle containing a heap of unity assets and learning tools. i bought all the bundle for £12. The bundle includes a unity learn premium year subscription that costs £100rp on its own but also other unity assets like environmental stuff, a tool that helps body parts "jiggle" and other stuff. This will really help me when i come to make this game in unity.
